"Our twice weekly journeys in August from Ormskirk for rehearsals in Bolton are well rewarded by the friendly group of singers, the wonderful music making and the learning process with John Powell. It is hard work but well worth the effort as we also have fun along the way to producing excellent performances."

Maureen has been singing with the choir for the last 7 years, but this is the first year for Freda who met up with an old school friend from Scotland who suggested she’d enjoy it.

Peter has been singing with the Festival Choir since its creation in 1994. "I usually sing in small chamber choirs and enjoy the Festival Choir’s larger scale works. It’s good to have a choir dedicated to singing in Bolton for the Festival."

Sarah’s first concert with the Bolton Festival Choir was in 2008. She also sings with the Halle Youth Choir and is most likely the youngest member of the choir.
